Seller inspections · Perth
Buyers are naturally suspicious of a used-car ad that says “perfect”. An independent pre-sale inspection gives them something more useful than an adjective.

Inspection options
Both options are available for buyer and seller inspections. The right choice depends on how much detail you want before making your next move.

Diagnostic Inspection

No payment is taken on this website. No Lemons passes the enquiry to the mechanic, who confirms availability and arranges payment directly with you.
An inspection is a point-in-time assessment of accessible areas. Neither option guarantees a fault-free vehicle or predicts every future issue.
No Lemons Verified
Only a seller’s Diagnostic Inspection may qualify a vehicle for No Lemons Verified; Essential Inspection cannot. Verified means the standard was met, although minor advisories may still be shown. It does not mean “perfect car”, and it is not a guarantee against future faults or maintenance.
Verification statuses
The status reflects what was established during the assessment and whether anything still needs repair, confirmation or buyer review.
The standard was met. Minor advisories may still be disclosed, and the status remains valid for 30 days from the Diagnostic Inspection date.
The assessment is incomplete, a safe road test could not be completed, or required resolution or confirmation remains outstanding.
The owner says an item has been fixed. No Verified badge is issued, and the buyer should review the item.
A significant mechanical, structural or safety-related finding requires repair. The result is not labelled “Failed”.
The eligibility and confirmation requirements for No Lemons-approved technicians are still being defined. A badge cannot be issued until that process is in place, and being the inspector does not automatically make someone a No Lemons-approved technician.
Why inspect before listing
An independent inspection says more than “genuine reason for sale” ever could.
Give serious buyers useful information before the message thread turns into twenty questions.
See the observations before listing and decide whether anything deserves attention first.
How verification works
No Lemons Verified only means something if buyers can trust that not every vehicle qualifies.
Essential gives you a useful inspection and report, but only a seller’s Diagnostic Inspection may qualify for Verified status.
Relevant condition and safety-related observations are considered against the current standard.
If something misses the mark, you can understand it and decide whether to address it.
Only a qualifying vehicle assessed under the approved process receives Verified status. It expires automatically after 30 days, and renewal requires a new Diagnostic Inspection.
Worth saying twice
Used cars have wear, maintenance needs and individual histories. The badge reflects a defined inspection standard at a point in time—not a crystal ball under the bonnet.
